On foot on the sea ice ! ! ! . . . ( 8-10 years old )

Answer : He is going to fish halibuts.
The fisherman hits the sea ice with his
harpoon until making a hole, letting him see
the water.
He then puts a fishing line with a hook and
feather into the water, moving it around to
catch halibut.
This is a flat fish, especially enjoyed to eat
after being dried.
The other fishes caught are used for dog food !
Some hunters also makes holes in the sea ice
. . . to catch seals.
But it's a different technique !
